The Spanish champion said in a statement, “Barcelona captain Messi suffered a minor injury and was practising alone. He is exercising to avoid risk 8 days before Barcelona return to the match. He will return with the team in a few days time.”
According to the statement, “This training season will resume at Camp Now and team manager Setien is preparing the players of his team for the return of football, although the matches will be played in an empty stadium without an audience.”
The Spanish League has been closed since March due to the Coronavirus and is now ready to return. Barcelona will go to Majorca for their first match. Barcelona currently remains first in the league with 58 points from 28 matches.
