New Delhi: Social site Facebook has filed a case against a company in India in court. The company alleges that this Mumbai-based company has used Facebook’s name, which seems to be a case related to fraud. The company is accused of using 12 such domain names.

What is the matter?
In a statement issued by Facebook, it has been said that a case has been filed against a Mumbai-based company in a Virginia court. Mumbai-based company Compass is Domain Solutions Private Limited has created 12 domains similar to Facebook’s name. It has been said in the complaint that this Indian company can commit fraud and rigging in the name of Facebook.

Experts associated with the case say that this Indian company has got domain names registered with the same name like Facebook. These include sites like facebook-verify-inc.com, instagramhjack.com and videocall-whatsapp.com. Looking at them, it seems that these sites are designed only to rig or fraud people.

Let us tell you that Facebook keeps checking all the sites and domains associated with its name on the Internet. In March this year, the company also sued an Arizona-based company. This local company also created a site similar to Facebook.
