Washington: The bad days of China, which have carried out violent clashes in Ladakh, have begun. After India, now America is also preparing to ban Chinese apps. US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said during an interview on Monday that we are seriously considering banning all social media apps in China, including TikTok.
“The final decision is to take President Donald Trump, but I can say with certainty that we are seriously considering banning Chinese apps,” Pompeo told Fox News. Significantly, after the Ladakh violence, the Indian government has banned 59 Chinese apps including TikTok. In such a situation, if the US also imposes a ban, then it will be like a double stroke for China.
Will there be action in Australia also?
According to the news, there is a demand for a ban on the Chinese app in Australia. So, if many more countries join this campaign in the coming days, then it will not be a surprise because Beijing remains a problem for most of the countries. India wants to hurt China on the economic front, so the government has taken many important decisions along with the ban on the app. According to a report, the Chinese company will lose about $ 6 billion due to TikTok being banned in India.
Second largest market
America is TikTok’s second major market. TikTok has 4.54 crore users there, while there were around 20 crore users in India. In such a situation, if the US administration bans it like India, then China will get a big blow. It was said on behalf of the Government of India that the information of users was being obtained through the banned Chinese app and they became a threat to the security of the country. After this action, TikTok is offering continuous cleaning. He says that the data of Indian users are saved in the server of Singapore. The Chinese government has neither demanded data nor will the company ever fulfil this request.
