New Delhi: Reliance Industries Ltd. in IIFL Wealth Hurun India Rich List 2020. (RIL) Chairman Mukesh Ambani holds the top position for the 9th consecutive year. With a personal wealth of Rs 6,58,400 crore, he is the only Indian to feature in the top 5 Dhankubers of the world. The Hurun India Rich List includes the rich of the country whose assets as of 31 August 2020 were 1000 crores or more. He has jumped two places to become the fourth richest person in the list of the country’s richest Hurun.
This time 828 Indians have got a place in this list. Hinduja Brothers, based in London, with a net worth of Rs 1,43,700 crore, stood second in the list. Shiv Nadar, the founder of it, is third with assets of Rs 1,41,700 crore, Gautam Adani and his family fourth and Azim Premji of Wipro at 5th.
IIFL According to the Wealth Hurun India Rich List 2020, Mukesh Ambani, the richest person in India and Asia, has earned Rs 90 crore every hour since the lockdown started in March. According to this annual report, Ambani’s personal wealth has increased from Rs 2,77,700 crore to Rs 6,58,400 crore in the last nine years.
Ambani recently freed Reliance by raising $ 20 billion in the capital. This list of Hurun has come at a time when the coronavirus crisis has wreaked havoc on the livelihood of people all over the world. It has impacted the global economy including India. On the graph, reforms like the English letter ‘K’ in the economy have raised concerns about inequality and increasing in society.
Of the total 828 wealthy Indians, only 5 per cent are women. Among them, 69-year-old Smita Crishna of Godrej Group with a net worth of Rs 32,400 crore. Kiran Mazumdar Shaw of Biocon Limited is the second richest woman in the country with assets of Rs 31,600 crore.
