New Delhi: If you also use Real Time Gross Settlement Service (RTGS Service) for money transactions, then this news is very important for you. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has said that this service will be closed for 14 hours from midnight on Saturday.
Due to this, the service will be stopped
The reason for discontinuation of this service used to send more than two lakh rupees is to technically upgrade it to further improve its ‘disaster recovery’ time. During this period, customers can use National Electronic Funds Transfer (NEFT) for transactions up to Rs 2 lakh.
RBI gave information 5 days ago
The RBI had issued a notification on Monday itself and informed the customers about it. The notification stated, ‘After the completion of business on 17 April 2021, RTGS will be technically improved to improve the capacity of the RTGS service and further improve the’ disaster recovery ‘(disaster recovery) time. Due to this, RTGS service will not be available from 00:00 hrs (Saturday night) to 14.00 hrs (till Sunday) on 18 April 2021.
