Earlier, Bollywood actress Rhea Chakraborty has been arrested by the NCB. Rhea was arrested after questioning of three days. The anti-drugs agency will not seek her custody during an online court hearing later today, say sources.
“Rhea was sent for a routine medical check-up. She tested negative for COVID-19. Whatever she told was sufficient for the arrest. We have arrested her, it means we had enough,” told Mutha Ashok Jain, Deputy DG, South-Western Region, NCB.
Earlier, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) questioned Rhea Chakraborty, her brother Showik and many others after the drug angle surfaced in the case of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput.
Rhea Chakraborty’s interrogation of the NCB continued for the third day on Tuesday. Rhea is slowly breaking in NCB inquiries and many revelations are taking place.
According to media reports, Rhea herself has confessed to taking drugs and at the same time she has given the names of 25 Bollywood celebrities who were involved in taking drugs and they were also given parties.
After Rhea’s confession and the names of 25 celebs, the NCB has now prepared the dossier, which includes the names of 25 Bollywood actors. This dossier has been prepared by NCB SIT.
The names of the celebs in the list are A, B, C in the category and NCB will soon issue summons to these celebs. The NCB has also left for Sushant’s farmhouse. The NCB will also search Sushant’s farmhouse in Pavana.
Rhea’s brother Showik Chakraborty had already been in police remand. The forensic investigation of Rhea Chakraborty and Showik Chakraborty’s mobile phones and laptops has revealed that Rhea team was involved in drug games since 2017.
