New Delhi: Late Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput has received special honours from the California State Assembly for his contribution to the world and cinema. Sushant’s US-based sister Shweta Singh Kirti shared this news with a picture on Instagram on Saturday. In the picture, Shweta shows the actor a certificate given by the California State Assembly.

The certificate states that the California State Assembly expresses special appreciation to Sushant for his ‘contribution to Bollywood cinema and philanthropic work for the community as well as his efforts to promote India’s rich culture and heritage.’
Sushant was found dead at his residence on 14 June. His family has lodged an FIR, accusing his girlfriend, actress Riya Chakraborty, and his family of abetment to suicide. The family, fans and friends of the late actor have demanded a CBI inquiry into his death.
