Sushant Case: Shruti Modi is not questioned after SIT member’s COVID positive exit

New Delhi: Hours after Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s former manager Shruti Modi appeared before the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) for questioning on Wednesday, she was sent back. This was due to the corona positive exit of one of the team officials. NCB Deputy Director K.P.S. Malhotra said in a statement, ‘A member of the NCB SIT team turned out to be Covid-19 positive in the investigation. The antigen test report was just received by NCB.’

Malhotra said, in view of the precaution, other members of the SIT will also be investigated and all the prescribed protocols will be followed. He said, “Accordingly, NCB has sent back Shruti Modi, who was involved in the investigation this morning.”

NCB summoned on Tuesday
Shruti Modi was summoned by the NCB on Tuesday to join the investigation. Apart from Shruti Modi, Sushant’s talent manager Jaya Saha was also summoned by the agency.

The arrest of so many people
The NCB has arrested more than one and a half dozen people so far in the drugs angle case related to the death of Sushant Singh Rajput. NCB has arrested Sushant’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty, his brother Showik, Sushant’s house manager Samuel Miranda and many others.

The NCB registered a case on the request of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) after alleged drug chats by Showik, Miranda and several others.

Sushant was found dead on 14 June at his Mont Blanc apartment in Bandra, Mumbai. Apart from CBI and ED, NCB is the third agency to investigate the case of Sushant’s death.
