Shahrukh Khan’s son Aryan has been arrested in a drug case. The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) produced him in the holiday court on Sunday. The court has sent Arbaaz Merchant and Munmun Dhamicha, arrested along with him, to the NCB’s custody for a day. After this the NCB team brought all three back to their office.

Here, late on Sunday evening, NCB arrested 5 more people who were detained in the same case. The names of these five are – Nupur Sarika, Ismeet Singh, Mohak Jaswal, Vikrant Chhokar and Gomit Chopra. NCB will present all these in the court on Monday and demand judicial custody. According to the information, another person has been arrested by NCB from Belapur. In this way a total of 9 people have been arrested in the case.

In the court, public prosecutor Advait Setna said- On behalf of NCB, we seek the remand of Aryan Khan, Arbaaz and Munmun Dhamicha. WhatsApp chats have been found from the accused, whose investigation is going on. Apart from this, banned drugs have also been found from the accused. Its sources and links need to be checked.

Setna said that the WhatsApp chat shows that the accused are linked to drug consumption and drug addiction. Thereafter, citing State vs Anil Sharma case, Setna sought Aryan’s custody in the bailable section.

Advocate Satish Manshinde argued on behalf of Aryan. Manshinde is a famous criminal lawyer and he was the one who advocated the case of Riya Chakraborty. Manshinde said- My client’s case is bailable. I would have applied for bail, but it could not happen as it was a Sunday. My client was called by the organisers. He didn’t even have a cruise ticket. Nothing was found with them. Apart from this, their mobile phones have also been checked. Couldn’t find anything in that either.

Manshinde argued – NCB has also said that nothing was recovered from Aryan. Nor has he taken any kind of drugs. Now that they’ve got nothing, they’ll do a new raid. However, nothing has been recovered so far. However, NCB did not put any pressure on us and did not make any demands. So, I don’t mind my client being sent to their custody for a day.

Earlier, Aryan was questioned at the NCB office for about 4 hours. From here the three accused including Aryan were taken to JJ Hospital for medical test. The team took him inside through the emergency gate of the hospital. After the medical test, the NCB team took the three back to the office.

It is said that 13 grams of cocaine, 5 grams of MD, 21 grams of charas, 22 pills of MDMA and Rs 1.33 lakh have been found from Aryan, Arbaaz and Munmun. In this case 5 people including 2 girls are still in custody. Everyone is being questioned. It is said that the drug paddler has also been brought to the NCB office for questioning.

This drugs party was going on ‘Cordelia the Impress’ cruise near Mumbai. At the time when NCB raided, 600 people were involved in the party. According to NCB sources, Aryan was also present on the cruise where this rave party was going on. NCB has called the organizers of the rave party for questioning.

Aryan has been arrested under sections 8C, 20B and 27, 35 of NDPS. Of these, Section 8C is applicable for taking drugs. The Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 (NDPS) is a strict drug law. Under its section 27, if someone takes narcotic drugs, it is also a punishable offence.

Clause (A) of this section states that a person found guilty of consuming narcotic drugs such as cocaine, morphine, shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to one year, or with fine which may extend to twenty thousand rupees, or with both.

NCB chief SN Pradhan said that after two weeks of investigation, we were able to do this raid. In this, links of many people of Bollywood have come to the fore. We are taking action in a fair manner. If any connection with Bollywood or rich people comes to the fore in this process, then let it come. We will work within the ambit of the law.
