Raj Kundra’s troubles increased in porn film case, anticipatory bail plea rejected

Mumbai: The Mumbai High Court has rejected an anticipatory bail plea filed by businessman Raj Kundra in connection with an FIR registered in the pornographic video case. Justice Nitin Sambre had on Wednesday reserved the verdict on Kundra’s plea to avoid arrest. The bench dismissed the petition on Thursday.

Kundra gave this argument in defence

Mumbai Police’s cyber cell has booked actor Shilpa Shetty’s husband Raj Kundra for circulating obscene videos under relevant sections of the IPC, the Indecent Representation of Women (Prevention) Act and the IT Act. was registered. Fearing arrest, first appealed for anticipatory bail to the sessions court in Kundra, but it was rejected. Kundra then moved the High Court claiming that he had been implicated in the case.

Was granted bail in September

Actress Sherlyn Chopra and Poonam Pandey have been named co-accused in the FIR. Kundra’s lawyers submitted that the actresses named as co-accused had given full consent to shoot the video and Kundra was not in any way associated with the production or telecast of the alleged illegal video. In July this year, Kundra was arrested by the Mumbai Police in another case where he was accused of broadcasting obscene movies through an app. Kundra was granted bail in September.
