Minister Dr Ramdas Athawale tweets about the Bollywood Drugs Connection


Mumbai: The issue of drugs is hot in the Bollywood industry these days. The names of Bollywood’s A-listers have surfaced in the drugs case. Deepika Padukone, Shraddha Kapoor, Sala Ali Khan and Rakul are on the NCB radar after Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik were arrested. Amidst all this, the President of the Republic Party of India (RPI) and Union Minister Ramdas Athawale has raised a tinge on Bollywood stars and appealed not to cast such people in films.

Athawale constantly tweeted in Marathi, writing, “Only actresses are being questioned by the NCB on suspicion of using drugs.” If there are names of actors in this, then they should also be questioned. There should be no discrimination between men and women.”

The minister further wrote, “Film producers should not cast actors who have been prosecuted by the NCB for drug addiction.” Otherwise, RPI will stop shooting its films and will not allow such films to be screened.”

After the name surfaced in the drugs chat, NCB has interrogated Deepika Padukone, Shraddha Kapoor, Rakul Preet Singh and Sara Ali Khan by sending summons.
