Mumbai: A Mumbai special court has extended the judicial custody of Bollywood actress Rhea Chakraborty till 6 October. Shortly after, Rhea and her brother Showik’s lawyer Satish Maneshinde moved the Bombay High Court to seek bail. Rhea’s bail plea will be heard tomorrow or Tuesday in the High Court.
Maneshinde said, ‘Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik have filed a petition for bail in the Bombay High Court. Justice S. It will be heard in front of V. Kotwal on 23 September.’
After the completion of 14 days of judicial custody of Rhea on Tuesday, the actress appeared before the special NDPS through video conferencing this afternoon.
It is expected that one day custody will be sought for Showik by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB).
Many others, including Rhea and Showik, have been arrested in connection with the drug angle related to the death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput.
