New Delhi: The story of the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput is getting complicated with each passing day. Politics is also getting tremendous in this matter. The Supreme Court will hear the petition of Rhea Chakraborty today. Rhea has demanded transfer of FIR registered in Patna to Mumbai.
The central government has also demanded to make itself a party in this matter. Rhea has filed a fresh petition in the Supreme Court alleging that the Bihar government is showing interest in this case due to elections, while the case has nothing to do outside Mumbai.
The CBI started the investigation and first recorded the statements of Sushant’s father, his sister and brother-in-law in Haryana. Yesterday, the ED questioned Rhea for 9 and a half hours. Earlier on Friday, Rhea Chakraborty was questioned by ED officials for about 9 hours. According to ED Sutras, when Rhea was asked questions about the 5-year ITR, she said that she did not know much about income tax returns. All information related to his earnings, expenses, profit, the loss is seen by his former manager Shruti Modi and chartered accountant Ritesh Shah. After this, the Enforcement Directorate team also questioned him regarding ITR and source of income.
Rhea reveals her income of around Rs 18 lakh in ITR
The ED is also eyeing the source of purchase and ownership of a property located in Khar area of the city and another property located in Raigad district of the state, both of which are related to Rhea. Rhea filed an income tax return stating her income to be around Rs 18 lakh, but the value of her investment is reportedly high. Sources said that Rhea ‘s father is a retired defenseman and he gets around one lakh rupees every month as pension. According to sources, Rhea told the agency that she has invested in property with her income, savings and has also taken a loan from the bank.
Rhea could not tell the source of official income
However, according to ED sources, instead of earning from Bollywood, the income from social events and cultural programs made the basis of their increased income which does not fit well. Apart from this, Rhea has not been able to source any official income from the sources of income and her income, investment and expenses have not been accurately assessed.
The ED has investigated chats of Rhea Chakraborty, brother Showik Chakraborty, father Indrajit Chakraborty during the year-long conversation. Apart from this, the deleted data has been retrieved through the phone dump analysis of these three phones. Monday was the first time when 6 important characters related to the case of Sushant Singh’s death were called together and questioned in the ED office.
These included Rhea Chakraborty, Shovik, father Indrajit Chakraborty, manager Shruti Modi, CA Ritesh Shah of Rhea Chakraborty and Siddharth Pithani.
Rajput’s 74-year-old father KK Singh filed a case in Patna on July 25 for cheating against Rhea, his father Indrajit, mother Sandhya Chakraborty, Showik, Rajput manager Samuel Miranda, Shruti Modi and unknown people and abetting her son to suicide. Was registered The CBI re-filed this FIR as a new case and made these people accused. Singh has also alleged financial irregularities in his son’s bank accounts.
In his complaint, Singh has alleged that 15 crore rupees a year were sent from Rajput’s bank account to the accounts of people whom the late actors neither knew nor had any connection with.
