Mumbai: The investigation of the drugs angle related to the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput is going on. Along with Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone, the names of many big actresses have appeared in Drugs Connection. In this episode, Deepika Padukone has reached the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) SIT office. Actresses Sara Ali Khan and Shraddha Kapoor have also been called for questioning.
Sara and Shraddha are called at 10.30. On Friday, actress Rakul Preet Singh, Deepika Padukone was questioned by manager Karisma Prakash and Dharma Productions executive producer Kshitij Ravi. Actress Deepika Padukone’s manager Karishma Prakash has also been asked to appear in the questioning on Saturday. Karishma appeared before the NCB on Friday to record her statement. Sources in the NCB had said that Karishma Prakash’s WhatsApp chat revealed her conversation with a ‘D’ and the central agency wanted to know who the person was.
The official said that during the interrogation of Rajput’s talent manager Jaya Saha, NCB received some important information. She said that the names of these actresses came up during interrogation of other accused. According to sources, during the interrogation of actress Rhea Chakraborty, the names of actresses Sara Ali Khan and Rakul Preet Singh were revealed. Rakul Preet Singh recorded her statement on Friday. He was questioned for about four hours. Responding to NCB questions, Rakulpreet Singh admitted that he had a drug chat with Rhea Chakraborty.
Dharma Productions executive producer Kshitij Ravi was also questioned by NCB on Friday. There were reports that Deepika’s husband actor Ranveer Singh has asked the agency if he can stay there during the interrogation of his wife. However, the NCB clarified on Friday that they had not received any such request. The NCB had initiated an investigation into the narcotics case surfaced after Rajput’s death. Rajput (34) was found dead in his apartment in Bandra on 14 June.
