Crew members on the sets of OMG 2 film Covid-19 positive, shooting of film halted for two weeks

After a long gap of being hit by the Corona epidemic, the film industry is slowly trying to get back on track. Shooting of many films has now resumed, including Pankaj Tripathi and Yami Gautam starrer Oh My God 2, however the makers have to stop shooting again after the crew members on the film set tested positive for Covid.

The shooting of the film OMG 2 was going on in Mumbai for the last few days, where recently 6 people have been infected with Corona. The film’s producer Ashwin Walde has stopped shooting for two weeks after the test report came. Mid Day quoted a source close to the film as saying that the test reports of 7 crew members have come positive last week. In such a situation, keeping security, everyone has been home-quarantined, while the people of the rest of the unit are being tested.

According to the report, the shooting was started after the reports of all the members of the team came negative, but within two days some people started showing symptoms of corona. After this, after stopping the shooting, fresh tests are being done. 6 crew members have been found infected during the test. The test report of the film’s lead actors Pankaj Tripathi, Yami Gautam and director Amit Rai has come negative. The shooting was immediately halted to prevent the spread of the infection. If the news is to be believed, now the shooting of the film will resume by the end of October.

Akshay Kumar was about to start shooting for Oh My God 2 after his film Rakshabandhan. After Mumbai, the film is going to be shot in Ujjain. Akshay will shoot for 20 days after which he will shoot continuously for Ram Setu and Cinderella.

Oh My God 2, being directed by Amit Rai, is going to be a sequel to 2012’s Oh My God, in which Yami Gautam, Pankaj Tripathi and Akshay Kumar will be seen in important roles.
