Lucknow: UP’s CM Yogi Adityanath government will provide financial assistance to other employees, including the driver and conductor of Uttar Pradesh Transport, who lost their lives on duty due to the global epidemic coronavirus. As per the government order, a lump sum of Rs 50 lakhs will be given to their dependents in case of regular, contractual or outsourced employees working on UP Roadways due to the death of Covid infection. Regarding this, Transport Corporation’s Additional Managing Director Annapurna Garg has issued the order.
The relatives of the dead will get 50 lakh rupees
According to Transport Corporation Principal Manager DB Singh, more than 50 roadways employees have been reported dead in UP so far on duty. Information in this regard has been sought from the entire state till 25 May. On the other hand, the roadways organizations had sent a letter from the state government to the MD asking for assistance to their families on the death of Covid-infected employees. Taking cognizance of this, the government has issued a lump sum amount to the families of contractual, outsourced personnel posted in corporations.
