New Delhi: The government has issued guidelines for ‘Unlock 2’ on Monday night. The guideline issued under ‘Unlock-2’ says that educational institutions, metro rail services, cinemas and gyms will remain closed. The lockdown due to Coronavirus infection was given some leeway under the ‘Unlock-1’ and now the government has announced ‘unlock-2’. The Union Home Ministry has issued comprehensive guidelines under ‘Unlock-2’ which will come into effect from July 1 after completion of ‘Unlock-1’ on 30 June.
It has been said in the new guidelines that schools, colleges and coaching institutes will remain closed till 31 July. It said that metro rail, cinema, gym, swimming pool, amusement park, theatre, bar, auditorium, assembly hall and other such places will also be closed.
Similarly, social, political, sports, entertainment, education, cultural, religious programs and other major programs will not be approved yet. The guidelines said that domestic and international passenger flights (under the Vande Bharat Mission), which are currently in limited form, will be expanded in a phased manner. The Ministry of Home Affairs said that the new guidelines are based on the feedback received from the States and Union Territories and in-depth consultations with the Union Ministers and Departments concerned.
The ministry said, “The lockdown will continue to be strictly followed till 31 July in restricted areas. With a view to stopping the spread of COVID-19, states, UTs need to carefully identify these areas after considering the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.” The guidelines stated that the containers Lockdown in the zone will be strictly followed. Only necessary activities will be allowed there.
