United Nations: India is battling Corona Pandemic these days. In such a situation, many countries and foreign agencies are coming forward to help India. Now the United Nations has also come forward and helped. Several agencies of the United Nations have sent about 10,000 oxygen concentrators to India to deal with the Covid-19 epidemic. Along with this, one crore medical masks have also been sent.

United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres spokesman Stephen Dujarric said in a regular press briefing on Thursday, “The United Nations team in India is cooperating with both national and local governments to combat the epidemic.”
UN sends 10,000 oxygen concentrators
He said that UNICEF (UNICEF), World Health Organization (WHO) and United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) have given around 10,000 oxygen concentrators, 10 million medical masks and more than 1.5 million face shields. The UN team has also bought ventilators and oxygen production plants.
Many tools are also being made available
UNICEF is also providing a cold chain device to contain the Covid 19 vaccine. He said, ‘Our team has provided thermal scanners along with testing machines and kits.’

UNICEF (UNICEF) and United Nations (UN) Development Program (UNDP) are also helping to monitor more than 175,000 vaccination centres in India. The WHO said that 46 per cent of the coronavirus cases are in India and 25 per cent of the people who lost their lives in the world due to the epidemic last week, 25 died.
