MP government will provide food ration to poor in lockdown

In such a situation, the state government has decided to provide food or ration to such people at a cheap rate. The responsibility of this has been entrusted to the officials of the Municipal Corporation and the Municipality.

Urban Development and Housing Minister Bhupendra Singh has directed all the municipal commissioners and chief municipal officials of the state to conduct the Deendayal Antyodaya Rasoi Yojana even better due to the Covid-19 transition. 100 Deendayal Rasoi Kendras are operated at various places in the state. Singh has said that the kitchen centers are still functioning satisfactorily, but in the present circumstances they need to be further strengthened.

The minister said that at present the Coronas curfew has been imposed in the district administration, cities due to the Covid-19 epidemic. Due to this, the livelihood of the poor families who run their daily bread and livelihood business like pavement business has been affected. The utility of such kerosene centers has increased more. He has said that Deendayal kitchen centers should be kept running continuously.

He said that such poor families, who have difficulty in arranging food, should arrange for the district level committee to provide food at prescribed concessional rates. In the present situation, the bodies may consider providing packets of cooked food as well as packets of dry ration.

In order to increase public participation in Deendayal Rasoi Yojana, online donation system has also been started on the portal of the scheme. It can be disseminated and get support from common citizens, social institutions and corporate organizations. A grant is also made available from the state government for running the centers. Food packets being distributed in this way, details of dry ration packets and details of cooperation received will have to be recorded regularly on the portal of Deendayal Rasoi Kendra.
