New Delhi: Delhi’s most famous Hazrat Nizamuddin Aulia Dargah may reopen from 5th September 2020. The famous Hazrat Nizamuddin Aulia Dargah in Delhi is always up with doing arrangements for the needy. The Dargah Sharif is closed down from day 1 of lockdown. The Dargah Sharif is closed down for the visitors, devotees and pilgrims. The committee of Dargah Sharif is supporting and strictly following the guidelines of the Central government and is up with a fight against Covid-19. The Dargah Sharif will re-open only after September 5 and if the COVID-19 cases increase in Delhi NCR then we will extend the date for the safety of visitors and pilgrims, as told by Syed Anis Nizami.
We had a word with Syed Anis Nizami, in charge of Hazrat Nizamuddin Aulia Dargah, he told us that Dargah Sharif is strictly following the lockdown from day 1 and has been shut down for the public. Only three people at one are allowed there to offer prayers every day inside the Hazrat Nizamuddin Aulia Dargah and take care of the Holy Shrine. All these are members of the Dargah Sharif’s committee and follows social distancing properly. They do sanitize themselves and the whole Dargah Sharif is being sanitized properly.
He also told us that Hazrat Nizamuddin Aulia Dargah always feeds up to over 4000-5000 people during the normal days and food is being prepared in the courtyard of the Dargah Sharif for the people and pilgrims. The Hazrat Nizamuddin Aulia Dargah Sharif’s committee is providing the food with proper hygiene to the doorsteps of the needy people. The distribution of the langar to the doorsteps of the needy people from 1st day of lockdown with the following complete hygienic and safety measures. Food is being distributed with the following proper social distancing and is packed carefully cleanly and hygienically.
Syed Anis Nizami also added that the dargah management will follow the standard operating procedure issued by the central government while reopening the shrine for the followers of Hazrat Nizamuddin Aulia. “Automatic sanitisation machines are installed at all the entry and exit points of Dargah Sharif. Arrangments for thermal scanners are also been done which are to be used whenever the dargah sharif will reopen. We will also assign volunteers to ensure social distancing norms,”
The dargah sharif committee is taking proper precautions this year because of the pandemic. They are focused on the safety and guidelines of the Central Government. Due to the Markaz incident, the name of the area was spoiled and they don’t want to create any other controversies.
