The number of corona-infected patients in Delhi has crossed six and a half thousand. In just 8 hours, 224 new infected patients have appeared in the capital, due to which the total number of infected patients in Delhi has increased to 6542. Of these, 2020 patients have been discharged, while 68 have died during treatment.
According to the Delhi Health Department, 224 new infected patients have been reported from 4 pm to 12 pm on Friday. On Friday, the Delhi government issued a health bulletin on the situation till 4 pm, in which 338 infected patients were confirmed.
Combining these two figures, on May 8, the maximum number of 562 infected patients appeared in a single day. Earlier, on May 7, the maximum 448 positive patients were registered in a single day. The Delhi government has now made a change in the scheme, under which information of infected patients received on Saturday will be given on Sunday.
According to the department, 937 infected patients are in home isolation in the capital. So far 84226 samples have been tested. With this, the scope of investigation of coronavirus per 10 lakh population has increased. Now 4157 people out of every 10 lakh have been screened.
The average infection rate in Delhi remains at 8 per cent. Apart from these, 84 number of containment zones have been registered. The recovery rate of coronavirus in Delhi has been recorded at 31 per cent, which is more than the national average of 30 per cent.
