New Delhi: In the national capital Delhi, more than 75 per cent of the total cases of Corona-Virus infection are reported in June. This fast has been seen after the restrictions were relaxed during Unlock-1. According to the data released by the Health Department of the Delhi government, between June 1 and June 30, 66,526 new cases of infection were reported.
At present, Coronavirus cases have reached 87,360 in Delhi, which is the highest number of cases in cities of the country. Compared among states and union territories, Corona ranks third after Delhi, Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu in terms of the number of people infected with the virus.
At present, 26,270 patients are undergoing treatment while 2,742 patients have died so far. About 49,470 patients became healthy in the month of June, of which more than 40,000 have recovered in the last two weeks. The rate of recovery of patients in Delhi is 66 per cent, which is better than the rate of 60 per cent in the country. At the beginning of June, Deputy CM Manish Sisodia said that the figures of coronavirus infection in Delhi can touch one lakh by June 30 and by July 31, the cases will reach five and a half lakh.
