New Delhi: The third phase vaccination campaign has started in India on May 1. Under this campaign, people over the age of 18 are being vaccinated in the country. However, the country has still not started this campaign in some cities due to a lack of vaccine. Meanwhile, a piece of relief news has emerged. Vaccine manufacturer Bharat Biotech has said that it has started supplying cocaine directly to 14 states. The supply of Covaxin is also based on the allocation received by the Center.
Suchitra Ella, the joint managing director of Bharat Biotech, said that the company-produced corona vaccine Covaxin has been started to be supplied directly to 14 states.
Suchitra said on Twitter that direct supplies have been started to Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Gujarat, Jammu and Kashmir, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal.
Let us know that on April 29, Bharat Biotech announced the price reduction of Covaxin for the states. States will get cocaine at Rs 400 per dose. Earlier the company had asked to provide vaccines at Rs 600 per dose. The company had earlier announced to give private hospitals a dose of Rs 1200 per dose. However, the company also faced criticism for the decision as Bharat Biotech has sold covaxine to the central government at Rs 150 per dose. Given the Corona situation in India, it was decided to reduce the prices for the states. Covaxin prices are comparable to Covishield.
