New Delhi: During the past 24 hours, a record 62,282 corona infections have been recovered across the country, raising the country’s national average corona recovery rate to 74.30 per cent from 74 per cent. This is the highest recovery of a day during the corona epidemic. The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said on Friday that 62,282 coronas have become healthy in the last 24 hours across the country and so far the total number of people who have been infected has increased to 21,58,946 from 21 lakhs. The ministry said today that the gap between the number of disease-free people and active cases of infection has increased to 14,66,918 so far. The corona recovery rate is more than 50 per cent in 33 states and union territories of the country. The recovery rate in Delhi is the highest at 90.10 per cent.

Haryana has 84.00 per cent, Tamil Nadu 83.50 per cent, Gujarat 79.40 per cent, Telangana 77.40 per cent, Rajasthan 76.80 per cent, West Bengal 76.50 per cent, Bihar 76.30 per cent, Uttar Pradesh 75.80 per cent and Jammu and Kashmir 75.60 per cent. According to the data released today by the ministry, 68,898 new cases of corona infection have been reported in the last 24 hours, so far the number of people who have been infected has increased to 29,05,823. The deaths of patients have resulted in 5,633 active cases of infection. There are 6,92,028 active cases of corona infection at present across the country. Maharashtra has the highest number of corona infections on 20 August.

During the last 24 hours, 12,243 coronae infected in Maharashtra has been freed. Apart from this, 8,846 in Andhra Pradesh, 6,231 in Karnataka, 5,863 in Uttar Pradesh, 5,742 in Tamil Nadu, 3,256 in Bihar, 3,126 in West Bengal, 3,126 in West Bengal, 2,772 in Assam, 1,781 in Telangana, 1,641 in Rajasthan, 1,227 in Rajasthan, 1,217 in Gujarat, Gujarat. 1,123, 1,065 in Madhya Pradesh, 1,059 in Delhi, 882 in Jharkhand, 737 in Haryana, 728 in Jammu and Kashmir, 554 in Chhattisgarh, 350 in Goa, 350 in Punjab, 334 in Punjab, 322 in Puducherry, 301 in Uttarakhand, 215 in Nagaland, 215 in Manipur 117, 109 Corona infected in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands have recovered.
